Founding
Radley Associates was founded by three former senior partners from leading global consultancies, bringing deep expertise in financial services operations, technology and risk management.
Radley Associates has specialised in risk quantification and data management for commercial real estate exposures since 2000. PROMS.AI is the AI-native generation of that platform, built on the same engine, serving the same institutional clients and extending into new workflows with new capabilities.
The platform has been refined through two economic cycles, a global financial crisis and the transition into AI-enabled workflows.
From three founding partners in 2000 to a platform trusted by some of the world's largest financial institutions, the story now reads more coherently as one timeline instead of alternating disconnected text blocks.
Radley Associates was founded by three former senior partners from leading global consultancies, bringing deep expertise in financial services operations, technology and risk management.
The firm advised major European commercial lenders on SME and corporate lending, risk modelling and profitability, establishing Radley's reputation for analytical rigour.
Radley developed a simulation-based CRE risk model enabling Basel II Advanced compliance, later adopted by major UK lenders.
Radley identified material under-capitalisation at Anglo Irish Bank through its proprietary modelling. After the findings were rejected, Radley exited the engagement. The bank collapsed in 2008, validating the analysis.
Radley was engaged by UK Treasury through UKAR to manage defaulted multifamily loan portfolios across failed UK banks and advised the Bank of England on methodology for monitoring systemic CRE risk.
The business anticipated structural change in CRE lending from banks to institutional and private capital, repositioning to serve PE lenders and investors.
Development began on PROMS, a cloud-based risk and portfolio management platform using advanced macroeconomic modelling and large-scale simulations.
PROMS was adopted by Tier-1 US institutions including AIG, KeyBank and State Street.
The platform expanded across North America with pension funds, global asset managers and alternative lenders including MetLife, JP Morgan, LaSalle and Ontario Pension Trust. It was audited for SOC I Type 2 to support major US lenders and CECL or IFRS 9 reporting requirements.
PROMS Enquiry is the first AI-native product in the platform family, accelerating investment decision-making while retaining transparency, control and model validation.
A team of twelve combining deep CRE domain expertise, financial modelling, software engineering and macro-economics. Based in London.
